Two South Bay/Peninsula events this weekend: TODAY: South Bay Area citizens gather to view the award-winning documentary, Living for 32, the compelling story of gun violence survivor Colin Goddard. The film follows Goddard’s journey from being shot four times during the Virginia Tech Massacre through his recovery and subsequent activism on behalf of preventing gun violence. The organizers of this screening include the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, Organizing for Action and former Assemblywoman, Sally Lieber. Following the screening, there will be a discussion about the film and what Californians can do to help stop America’s epidemic of gun violence. WHEN: Saturday, September 7, 2013, 10:00am – 12:00pm WHERE: Mountain View City Hall 500 Castro Street Mountain View, CA 94041 TOMORROW: The Sunnyvale Citizens for Sensible Gun Measures Yes on C Campaign invites you to come learn about Measure C, a ballot measure of four sensible gun regulations which Sunnyvale residents will vote on in November. Learn why everyone should vote yes, learn how you can help bring out the vote. Speakers include Sunnyvale Mayor Tony Spitaleri and CA Assemblyman Paul Fong. Light refreshments will be served.
