Two and a half years ago, Lab Rescue got an urgent call about Chandler in WV. He had been hit by a car and one of his back legs was in very bad shape. We agreed to bring him in and cover his medical bills. Sadly, the leg couldnt be saved, but in spite of a pelvis broken in several places and the other back leg in delicate condition, after several weeks, he was able to make the trip to the DC area. He spent a couple more weeks at one of our vets where he needed yet another operation. He was my first special needs foster. He was a little, sweet puppy, and often I wondered if hed ever be able to walk again. After three months of intense rehab and strict care, this little guy was running around and swimming like any healthy dog. Last week Chandler visited me at the beach. I hadnt seen him in a year, but he covered me with kisses and rolled over for belly rubs. Chandler is one of so many special Labs that come to us every year. We would not be able to have these happy endings without the incredibly generous support of our Lab family. THANK YOU. And thank you Debbie Flaig for adopting Chandler and for such a special visit.
