Two brothers of a family died, four injured in Doda road accident Doda, June 09: Two bothers of a family were killed while four other including a minor were injured critically when aTrax they were travelling in,skidded off the road and rolled down into a deep gorge in mountainous area ofDoda District. As per reports, "an ill-fated Trax bearing No JK14A-5247this morning skidded off the road near Narshi Nallah in Humble area of Marmat in Doda District when the driverlost control over the vehicle while negotiating a sharp curve and it rolled down into 600 feet deep gorge," police spokesman here said. He said that one person died on the spot and 05 sustainedinjuries. Police, locals and Army on receiving informationrushed to the spot and started the rescue operation and shifted all the injured to District Hospital Doda. However, "Out of the injured,one person later succumbed in Doda Hospital taking the death toll to two," he added. The deceased were identifiedas Jagdish Ram (30) S/o Jameet Singh his brother Joginder Singh (25) while the four injured have been identified as Koshal Kumar (17) S/o Kunj Lal, Baby (2 years) S/o Bansi Lal, Bansi Lal (40) S/o Joginder Singh and Driver Amit Kumar alias Bittu (27) S/o Beli Ram, all residents of Sarwa Humble (Marmat). Later on Baby D/o Bansi Lal was referred to GMC Jammu in critical condition for specialized treatment. MLC Khalid Najeeb Suharwardy visited the Hosiptal and directed the District Administration and theHealth Department for providing all possible treatment to all the injured who are undergoing treatment in District Hospital. Mr Suharwardy has expressed grief over the loss of lives in this road accident on Doda-Marmat road today. In his message, MLC Mr Suharwardy has conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of all those injured in this tragic accident. Meanwhile, President Doda Welfare Society, Mohammad Iqbal Balwan also has expressed grief over the loss of human lives in the accident. He expressed his sympathy with them and prayed for peace to the departed souls. He also prayed for early recovery ofthe injured.
