Two hundred, thirty-eight years ago,on November the Tenth, Seventeen Hundred and Seventy-Five, the First Continental Congress commissioned a man,Samuel Nicholas (a Quaker innkeeper) at Tun Tavern, to recruit two battalions of Marines in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This led to the Birth of today s United States Marine Corps. At this time,I want to proudly say to all Marines,Past and Present, all around the world, SEMPER FI and Happy Birthday to each and every one of you . . . . . . . MAY GOD BLESS OUR CORPS FOREVER ! ! !
