Two oclock in the morning and as usual, recently anyway, my eyes have flew open. Not so cold that I cant open the door and sit here with coffee and my vaper hooka. Have about an inch of snow out there and the earth seems clean and it is light enough that I can see it. Looking out at my favorite tree, a sand cherry. The snow on that tree is a beauty to behold. Soon it will bloom out into another thing of beauty. The leaves are a reddish color after that. I love that darned tree. They dont get very big but I wish they were a hundred feet tall. When I moved here I planted a few redwood trees. I never thought they would grow in this country but the Arbor Day Foundation said they would and I took their word for it. The one I put in good soil is already six feet tall. You know, life aint bad right now and I am about as happy as I can expect to be. Peace of mind makes me happy. And free. Might even say hurrah, hurrah. ( My sister in law, Jan Fultz Russell says that I toke that hurrah hooka a bit much maybe.)
