Two of EKOenergys contact persons in Latvia, Ojars Balcers (Latvijas Dabas Fonds) and Janis Brizga, (Zaļā brīvība) wrote a contribution about the liberalization of the Latvian electricity market in the popular Latvian online magazine IR. From 1 January 2015 onwards, Latvian households will have the choice between at least seven electricity retail sellers and many power products. The authors call upon the Latvian households to use this opportunity to choose EKOenergy certified green power.
