Two very cute doctors came by to check on Rhonda! Her ENT doctor reported that her ear was better than they first thougth. However, the cartilage would have to fully heal before he can say for certain. She was more concerned about listening to her music than how her ear will look in the end. The neat thing is that the ENT doctor is also a triathlete! He wants to be racing with her next summer! Dr. #2 was the Trauma doctor and was super cute sporting his scrubs & scruffy beard... Sorry, I digress! This conversation yielded more information about what the future holds for Rhonda. She should be getting out of NICU tomorrow. The hope was today, but with surgery on her pelvis this AM they wanted to keep her 1 more night. She might can sit up tomorrow at some point but the orthopedic doctor would need to give the green light. She will most likely go to rehab between the real hospital and home, Cute doctor said she is an excellent candidate for rehab. And finally the good stuff... She asked when will she run again. The answer was months not weeks and she will have swim for a while, then bike and finally add the run. This was very encouraging to me. Maybe, she will be ready for the Quad City Tri next June!
