Two veteran NSO deputies were honored this week for their combined 38 years of service to the citizens of Norfolk. Pictured left are Lt. Ron Keyes and Sheriff Bob McCabe who thanked Keyes for 20 dedicated years. Major Larry Carter presented Keyes with a new handgun as a token of appreciation from his colleagues. The jury assembly room was transformed into a banquet room for Keyes retirement party, organized by Deputy Hooper, Master Deputy Sumler and Capt. McInnis. Also honored the same day was Master Deputy Virgilio Cabanlig whose colleagues celebrated his 18 years of service in a Norfolk General District Courtroom where he was most recently serving as a bailiff. Best wishes to Lt. Keyes and Master Deputy Cabanlig as they enjoy their retirement years.
