Two weeks ago D J Doc Jim did a show on Scandinavias all time top 15. At #7 was ABBA with The Winner Takes It All. During the chat I shared why back home in the 5 countries of Scandinavia, we hold this song so dear. In August of 1980, on The Mike Douglas Show. ABBA was set to perform this single live via satellite. Earlier that day Agnetha Fältskog who was the female lead on the song, watched as her husband and fellow ABBA band mate Björn Ulvaeus walked out on her and their children.
