Two weeks ago Epi, now Oden left Spain for his new home in Germany where he had a new brother, Oliver, waiting on him. At first they werent too sure about each other and their amazing mum and dad Justin and Kristian Rollins had to take extra care with them. For two weeks they were walked together on leads but otherwise they had to be kept separate to avoid feathers flying! Thanks to the patience and determination of Justin and Kristian, at the weekend the two boys had a breakthrough and as you can see they are as thick as thieves plotting destruction of their toys and generally having fun together. We are delighted to see this new bond develop, looking so similar to the close bond Oden had with his lovely brother Blas in the shelter. Not everyone believes that two young male boxers can be together but Oden and Oliver are proving them wrong again. For us it is pretty emotional so see them succeed and we cannot thank Odens new mummy and daddy enough for not taking the easy way out. With the huge changes these dogs go through it is surprising how few problems arise when settling into their new home, but when they do arise, the desire by the adopter to succeed and overcome problems is usually sufficient to sure that their promise to provide a forever home can be fulfilled.
