Two weeks ago, I took a Computer Skills test at NIU in hopes to opt out of a class. The test measured proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, and Web Design. Today, I received the test score to find out that I passed the test, meaning I dont have to take an extra class next semester! I say all this to take a moment and be grateful for the steps that have brought me here. As the youth admin. asst. at FC, I had to learn skills such as mail merge (which can be attributed to Faith and YouTube) and formulas/spreadsheets on Excel (attributed to Jaimee ). Finally, I must thank my dad and current English professor for showing me the ins and outs of computers. That being said, I just felt compelled to recognize those who have been patient with me and helped teach me these skills.. I wouldnt have achieved this accomplishment if it werent for them and all the opportunities/experience God has allowed me explore!
