Two weeks ago each of us were presented with a slideshow of different Outreach locations around the world. Some options were to countries of neglect, social crisis, and others simply too sensitive to even speak of publicly. But, all of these places had one thing in common; need. A kind of desperate hunger for truth and love and light. I was beckoned to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and in a sort of leap of faith - was able to confidently say, Yes! to what you might call a tugging of the soul. Im going to the jungles of Africa with a small team of missionaries made up of two fellow peers and a handful of brothers and sisters currently enrolled in a second year YWAM program. The ministry opportunities throughout this venture are sure to be high-impacting and incredible to say the least. In moderate to difficult living conditions, we will contribute physically to the appraisal of new facilities and to other labor-intensive needs of the surrounding community. At the same time, aiding our BSN students with overall preparations for the teachings weve come to offer. Im excited for the conferences and workshops weve planned for the pastors and other spiritual leaders whove traveled from all over to be taught on how to minister and bless the rest of their nation. I believe this is an opportunity to inflict Central Africa in a potential ripple affect that will change the way people will see, hear, and understand God and his children. I would ask for your continued prayer for team unity and the general safety of our group. Pray for all the people involved in this operation and for the strength and vigil to make this happen.
