Two years ago this night a friend and I chatted and I spoke of my misfortunes businesswise and he spoke of his long house arrest in Canada. Growing up together in Botswana then relocating to our countries of origin we chatted about the exciting things about our countries. At that moment it hit me, we had so many sports cars on the street and rally events but very little coverage . We hatched a plan to start the page and by March 11 2013 we officially got our registration legally. So there we were , a duo of over confident noobs taking on the Zambian Car scene, at first all was rosey, comparisons here and there. At the time there were only two notable car clubs. Midnight club Lusaka and Zed Knights. We gave both clubs balanced coverage as our core mission was to uncover the side of motorsport not many get to know about . Quickly Lusacar Magazine gained much popularity and the family grew 30+ team members. Our growth was apparent and skyrocketing we promote a platform for those that get little or no coverage, we envision a Zambia where the culture is large , two years and a couple of shows here and there today the culture has caught the attention of many in and out of Zambia. Nothing great ever comes easy , we had a few pit stops along the way made new friends , lost some , we also never bowed to the elitists theory we never supported the Idea that to be someone or part of a certain group the either have to be someone or own a particular car. In my opinion I found that retrogressive to progress in the culture as there was too much segregation. How does one learn that way if information is locked to a certain elite group? Ofcourse certain circles didnt like the fact that we stand for something bigger than their theory and us all, but that was the least of our worries, we are focused on leaving a mark in Zambian Motorsporting history that our followers are proud to be part of. Today we still remember what we stand for, credit we owe to our fans and supporting clubs. Streetone , Nitro Racing club , Streetmonster,Ikonik Media ,Altezza club Zambia, Zimtorque and many others that openly rendered their support for real growth.
