Two years ago yesterday I was admitted to Tufts Medical Center in Boston to start treatment for my stem cell transplant. 2 years ago today I was given the major dose of chemo that would kill off not only the Multiple Myeloma but all my stem cells making me susceptible to the slightest infection which could have been a death sentence. 2 years ago tomorrow I was given my own stem cells back that were harvested months earlier over the course of 2 days. A few days later I was the sickest I can ever remember in my life. What little hair I had left came off in handfulls. It hurt to blink! But, I pulled through thanks to the Dr. Kelly Sprague & the awesome staff. Though I am far from 100% ( still having issues from my compressed vertebrae ) Im working part time at Petco and Im sculpting dinosaurs again!!! So for anyone out there going through some major medical issues, fight on!!! The road is long and rough but the journey is well worth it!!
