Typo~ We had 80 + tornadoes that day. A Perfect Diagonal Line across the United States starting from the SW to NE hitting our state at the perfect time. A 50 degree drop in the fronts causing Super Cells. I had Studied Doplar all night, charged and packed for 3 planned Super Cells I was going to set up in front of At 10am, 12 noon and 2pm. I chose the Super cell closest to me to save gas. My Doplar On my Cel wasnt working correctly and I was completely directionless w were the Tornadoes were at. So I found myself surrounded by Tornadoes. Snd no safe place to go. Or know which way to go because I didnt have access to my Radar. Unpredictable even professionals storm chasers couldnt get footage the winds were as strong as a tornado. I had tornadoes behind me, 2 coming from my left, one to my right, one ahead crossing the road to get to the only town nearby. Danvers. My Daughter and Dad abd all had tornadoes heading towards us. I had tornadoes forming above me, maybe 3. But my Dads Town of Washington, Illinois was the 2 tornado towers I captured from Danvers. One was an ET4 on the Ground for 40.1 miles w over 200 mph external winds. It ripped thru Washington damaged 1500 homes, destroyed 500 off thier foundations. Several people were put in the hospital. A couple people did die. They are still rebuilding. Most people were saved because it was Sunday and they were in church. I have gone back snd git damage pictures/videos and 1 interview. I cried.. it was a traumatic event for all. All I spoke to and while I was out Storm Chasing. I never heard 1 tornado siren go off in all the tornadoes that were all around me. Many Sirens are out in those small country towns. I We thank God our loved ones snd soo many made it thru alive. I didnt think I or family were going to make it thru alive. Lived here most my life. Weve never ever had that horrific amount of tornadoes. I Dubbed it the perfect storm while making videos to warn friends who were coming back frim our NA convention that day and was posting on fb so they wouldnt drive right into it but many did. Ive never stormed chased since. But I did upgrade my cel to always have a set good GPS Doplar Radar at all times now. And my Dad has since passed away 3 months after his town was hit. So grateful. Prayers always b4 a storm chase. But nothing could I would ever ever take care of me for that but I am considering taking your class but Ive been storm chasing for years now but I dont know if I can get back out there.
