U.S. Embassy Applauds MITC’s One-Stop Service Center Charge d’Affaires Michael Gonzales visited the Malawi Investment and Trade Center at Aquarius House in Lilongwe on October 30 to receive a briefing on the new One-Stop Service Center for Malawian and foreign investors. He was impressed to find senior officials from four key government offices – Immigration, Land, MRA, and the Registrar of Companies – ready to assist both Malawian and foreign investors, and learned that their efforts have already decreased the average time required for decisions on residence and employment permits and tax matters. He applauded this important effort to make it easier for all investors, including Malawians, to start new ventures that will contribute to a thriving Malawian economy.
