U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-A U.S.S. Enterprise Duds class: Warp nacelles level 6, dorsal view – stbd bow to port stern (cutaway). Although the warp nacelles in the Duds class were more spacious than ever, they were still not habitable, for they did not contain standard-size bulkheads. Also, the warp engines housed within them were thought to be potentially dangerous if breeched. The latter was somewhat unfounded, for personnel were able to remain at a safe distance from the warp engines since improvements in their design and construction permitted them to lay concealed beneath, vice above, the radiation deck shield lining each warp nacelle. Only minor personnel injury from physical perturbations of the warp nacelles, themselves, was remotely possible. Nevertheless, the proximity of the warp engines had discouraged Starfleet engineers from designing any habitable spaces inside the warp nacelles. Instead, the ample space above the radiation deck shield was allocated for the storage of cargo. 019 03-06-2008 - 12-16-2012 - changed landscape to stars - reconstructed port space-energy/matter sink - illuminated port magnatomic flux chiller - added labels
