U.S. Transportation Command activates the USNS Kocak for Pacific Pathways 15 U.S. Transportation Command, through its Navy component Military Sealift Command, has activated the USNS SGT Matej Kocak (T-AK 3005) surge sealift cargo ship to support Pacific Pathways 2015. USTRANSCOM and U.S. Army Pacific decided ship activation was the best choice for USARPACs need for readiness, flexibility and responsiveness to meet all the operational requirements for sealift support for U.S. Pacific Command and Theater Joint forces Land Component commanders.
