U.S. WARNS OF POSSIBLE TERROR ATTACK AT UGANDAS AIRPORT U.S. has warned its citizens in Uganda that intelligence showed there is likely to be a terror attack at the countrys Entebbe International Airport. The U.S. embassy in Uganda said in a statement on its website Thursday, it had received information from the Ugandan police force of a specific threat to attack the airport located 40 km south of capital Kampala. The U.S. Embassy has received information that there is a specific threat to attack Entebbe International Airport by an unknown terrorist group on July 3 between the hours of 9pm to 11pm, the statement said. Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesman Patrick Onyango said security had been enhanced in the capital and major towns to avoid the repeat of the 2010 World Cup final when Somali militants Al-Shabaab carried out twin bombings in Kampala that left 78 people dead and dozens injured. In early June, police issued a terror alert that four vehicles reportedly transporting terrorists were suspected to have sneaked into the country via the Kenya-Uganda border. Via #BERNAMAnewsworld
