U16 DISTRICT MATCH REPORT U16 played a great team game on Friday night winning 6 nil against Camberwell putting us second on the ladder for the comp. Lucas Stewart scored 3 goals, Joe Wilson, Lachlan Turnbull and Liam Bibby each scored one. Liam Bibby’s goal was celebrated by all as it was only Liam’s second game of hockey. Lachlan Wilcox Played goalie for the first half and the team played without a goalie for the second half with Thomas Moorhead again doing a stellar job in defense this time as kicking back. The zone work at training was evident during the game which was great to see. The communication and accuracy of passes was good and certainly an improvement over the first game. For the second game of the season the team is pulling together well, showing very good position work. Excellent job to all especially Nathan Lawry and Liam Bibby who have only started playing hockey this year. We are still without a full time goalie and need to fill this spot urgently. Anyone with any prospects for a goalie please get in contact with the club.
