UD ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN SOCIOLOGY (Tenure Track position, begins Aug. 16, 2015) - Please share widely THE UNIVERSITY OF DAYTON Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in sociology. We are seeking a candidate who has completed all the coursework and data collection for a Ph.D.in Sociology at time of application. The department seeks a candidate with a research agenda that demonstrates a commitment to social justice and is focused in one or more of the following areas: critical criminology, health inequalities and/or local or global communities. Ability to work in an interdisciplinary context, teach courses at the introductory and upper levels and to work as a team member toward shared goals are required. The successful candidate will teach sociology courses at the introductory and upper- levels in areas of expertise and will contribute to UD’s Common Academic Program and interdisciplinary collaborations of the department (cf. youtube/watch?v=dhmesfx77kY) .
