We, the officers of UE EHSD Parent Teacher Association (PTA ) General PTA Officers in coordination with the office of the Principal and based on the approved UE EHSD PTA’s Calendar of Activities and in compliance with PAASCU in continuing education and socio-civic awareness, we will be organizing a two (2) days free course on BASIC EMERGENCY RESPONSE COURSE to be conducted by Metropolitan Manila Development Authority ( MMDA) Public Safety Division Trainors on the 20th up to 21st of November in the year of the Lord 2014 to be held at Engg. Bldg.- Briefing Rm., University of the East - Caloocan . This MMDA’S Disaster Preparedness and Response Course aims to achieve the following objectives: 1. Make equipment and other resources immediately available for quick organization and response during emergencies particularly in times of earthquakes, flooding, and even road accidents; 2. Inform, educate and train the participants well on what to do before, during and after a disaster; 3. Prepare the people to plan for worst-case scenarios and to undertake necessary measures. 4 . And their main goal in offering this free course of MMDA is to educate and enhance everyone on Basic Emergency Response so they are aware and ready to give a helping hand in case of emergency or needs arises in whatever circumstances. The said course will tackle the following topics : Basic Trauma Life Support, Muskulo-Skelital/ Soft Tissue Injuries, Cardio-pulmunary Resuscitation, Foreign Body Airway Obstruction, CPR PRACTICAL, FBAO – Practical , Splinting, and Bandaging Practical, Lifting and moving Patient Practical. ParticipantS are required to pay for an amount of seventy-five pesos ( 75.00 Php) intended for the purchase of individual face shield needed for the activity and other miscellaneous expenses. And for the two ( 2) days Meals- Lunch and Snacks, you can bring your own meal or this is optional , pay an additional amount of one hundred eighty pesos (180.00 Php ) not included drinks.
