I wanted to share two stories I saw on CNBC this week that confirm online shopping is more than just a fad and our Unfranchise business is more than just another business. First, on Monday, CNBC announced there hasnt been an enclosed mall built in the USA since 2006. I researched this and found it to be true. I found this to be stunning but also very telling. In fact, I mentioned it at our UBP on Tuesday. (theatlanticcities/arts-and-lifestyle/2012/07/shopping-mall-turns-60-and-prepares-retire/2568/). At the mall’s peak popularity, in 1990, America opened 19 of them. But we haven’t cut the ribbon on a new one since 2006. Secondly, UPS warned Friday that its fourth-quarter earnings will be below its earlier guidance due to the delivery problems it ran into during the holidays. UPS said a short holiday shopping season and a bigger-than-expected surge in online shopping strained its network. While not great news for shareholders of UPS, it is great news for us! No new malls built in the USA since 2006 + an undeniable surge in online shopping = an unbelievable business opportunity! Again, Thank you for everything you do!
