UGANDA, I thank you all for kicking me off your FB pages. Now at least I know that I do not have to help any Bagisu and what a relief. Our team is changing objectives. Our offer of chickens (layers) will be on an assessment level. One NRM Youth Leader in Mbale area stole 3 chickens and landed in trouble. Which means that if we give families 6 chickens each, they could be stolen. The rabbits, I have learned the market is not there for them...would have been the best idea though. The ducks need water..but if you cant put water in Bududa Hospital to stop people from dying, how on earth will you even bother to give water to ducks? So now we will be giving each family a goat. This project starts in June 2014. It is crucial that we get the numbers in order to help us budget and buy in bulk. Goats are very low maintenance so while costing double of the price we were going to pay for the other animals, at least we save on feed and theft and diseases if not cared for properly.
