UGANDA ORPHANAGE APPEAL: Ministry seeking financial support for over 100 orphans and 48 widows Appeal video: https://youtube/watch?v=t5DcnSqJ_3k Online PDF: https://drive.google/file/d/0B2-JzmkKJq6cTm42cU5PZEU0azg/view?usp=sharing Dear brothers and sisters, I am writing on behalf of Agape Children’s Home in Uganda, Africa, which is a division of Faith Christian Centre. This is an appeal for an orphanage in great financial need. There are over 100 orphans staying at this orphanage, in addition to almost 50 widows. Some of these children are burdened with diseases that they cannot cure themselves, except through medical treatment (which they cannot afford). Everybody there is hungry. The charity simply does not have enough resources to feed everyone. The ministry is lacking in clean, nourishing food; shelter, clothing, additional land, clean water, new shoes for the children, gardening and schooling. I will now share a letter from the orphanage administrator – Kigwana Joel: Hello brothers and sisters, my name is Kigwana Joel. I am from Agape Children’s Home in Uganda, Africa, which is a division of Faith Christian Centre. We are a Christian ministry and we do our best to teach and live by Christian principles. Here, we support a large number of orphans and widows who could really use some financial support. We currently have over 100 children here, who are orphans. The majority of these children are of a very young age. We have also 48 widows sheltering here with us, who have nowhere else to go. Some of these children are suffering from HIV AIDS and are in need of medical treatment; others became orphans because their parents died from that disease. Our main challenge here at Agape Children’s Home is feeding the many people here. There is simply not enough food to go around. The children are really hungry. It is very difficult for them. We would like to buy some seeds and some good compost, to grow our own food for the long term. However right now, we don’t even have enough money for the seeds and the gardening equipment that we need. In addition to a lack of food, these children also need clothes, shoes and money to go to school. We are seeking financial aid to purchase additional land, to build a better home here for these poor children. Eventually we would like to establish a school here too. We are seeking volunteers to help us in our work. If anybody would like to come here and help us, we would be very grateful. The door is open for anyone to come and volunteer here with us at Agape Children’s Home. We pray every day for this most needed help. Thanking you gratefully, Kigwana Joel If you could find it in your heart to contribute something towards this good cause, every man, woman and child at Agape Children’s Home would GREATLY appreciate it! If you would like to donate a financial gift, the requested medium is through WESTERN UNION. You will have to send your money to Kigwana Joel directly, as Western Union can only transfer money to individuals, not organisations. You will have to provide a test question and answer for Kigwana to accept your donation. You can email him this information in addition to your name, the amount of money you are sending and the money transfer code (MTC number), using the email address provided below.
