UK Forecast - June 18, 2013 from weatheronline.co.uk/ Rain in south Fair to north Tuesday Cloud and some spots of rain and drizzle across central and southern parts of England and Wales today. Soe of the rain could be thudnery to the south. By the afternoon the rain tends to be mainly in the Midlands and Wales with much brighter weather and very warm sunshine followinginto the south and east. A bright and dry day for northern England, Scotland and Ireland. It should be dry for most, although an odd shower cannot be ruled out over the hills of western Scotland and Northern Ireland. Tops couold get to 27C in the southeast in sunshine, nearer 17C in northern Scotland. Tuesday night Rather cloudy across southwest England, most of Wales, the western Midlands and northern England bringing some outbreaks of light rain here. More central and southern areas will be dry with some clearer spells. A dry night for Scotland and Ireland, just an odd shower in northern Scotland. Lows around 7 to 14C. Wednesday Low pressure is centred across central parts of Europe on Wednesday. Fronts across England and Wales bringing some very warm weather into East Anglia and the southeast. Some drizzle and patchy rain across northern and western parts of England. Cloudy too for the east of Scotland, but more western parts of Sxcotland, northwest England, western Wales and Ireland will be brighter with sunny spells and dry weather. Tops at 29C in southeast England, but a much cooler 15C in western Scotland. Thursday Low pressure east of the UK on Thursday as a weak ridge builds through Ireland and western Scotland. Fronts remain through England and Wales bringing some periods of rain, mostly to the west and north, but some heavy and thundery rain possibly moving north through eastern and southern parts of England overnight. This may turn thundery and heavier as it moves north through Thursday morning, drier weather arriving to the south. Sunny spells in Scotland, although rain may affect th far east in the afternoon. Ireland will have a few spots of rain and plenty of cloud. Highs at 26C in southern England sunshine, 17C in northern Scotland. Week ahead - June 18, 2013. Disturbed weekend Drier later Issued: 0900hrs Tuesday 18th June 2013 Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling A wet and windy weekend, but hints of better weather early next week A very unsettled weekend ahead as low pressure crosses the country. This brings the risk of gales and heavy periods of rain and showers. Indications are that pressure will be building right at the end of the forecast period bringing more settled conditions. Friday 21/6/13 A complex area of low pressure lies across the country through Friday. This brings cloud and some rain, associated with an occluded front over much of England. This should be clearing east with some sunny spells forming for many, although staying cloudy and damp across southern and eastern Scotland. More persistent rain pushing rain into southern Ireland and southwest England by evening, the winds increasing here too later. Tops at 14 to 21C. Saturday 22/6/13 A very unsettled day across all parts of the UK and Ireland on Saturday as a deep area of low pressure crosses the country. This brings rain and showers to all. Most of the rain looks set to be in Wales, northern England and Scotland. The rain tending to be more showery to the south, although merging to longer periods of rain at times. A very windy day too, the strongest of them probably in the south where they will be in excess of gale force. Highs at 11 to 17C. Sunday 23/6/13 The area of low pressure ends up to the east of Scotland on Sunday. This brings more rain through Scotland and northern England. Showers to the south and west, some of these heavy at times. Remaining windy too. Temperatures at 12 to 16C. Monday 24/6/13 The area of low pressure stays east of Scotland on Monday. Winds will be in the northwest bringing cloud and rain across northern and eastern areas of the country. Showers will be following to the west and south. A breezy day. Highs at 11 to 16C. Tuesday 25/6/13 A ridge of high pressure will be building from the west on Tuesday. This should bring a fair day with sunny spells over western and southern areas, but some showers still affecting the north and east. Tops at 14 to 20C. Wednesday 26/6/13 Pressure builds across southern areas today bringing a fair day with some good spells of sunshine, and feeling warmer too. Some showers over northern and western Scotland, but dry to the east and south. Highs at 18 to 23C.
