UK and Ireland Weather Temperatures near to below Normal Overall low pressure to the east of Britain will tend it unsettled with showers in the forecast throughout much of this week, although the showers could be quite hit and miss. Later in the week we could see another deep area of low pressure bringing in more persistent and heavy rain. For the weather for the next few days click here Wednesday 20/08/14 Most places will start the day dry with good sunny spells. Scattered showers are likely to develop in many areas although few perhaps across southern England. A dry evening and night to follow. Maximum temperatures of 15 to 19C. Thursday 21/08/14 Further showers are expected to develop across the country as we go through the day. A few may be heavy across Scotland and northern England before fading in the early evening. Much of East Anglia and the southeast along with southwest England should be mainly dry. Maximum temperatures of 15 to 20C. Friday 22/08/14 Many places may start the day fair and dry but showers across Wales, Northern Ireland and northern Scotland will tend to develop in many places through the course of the afternoon, with a few heavy ones although it looks dry across East Anglia and the south east. Highs of 18 to 20C. Saturday 23/08/14 Scattered showers are forecast for Wales and northern Scotland with rain for Northern Ireland. The rest of Britain looks fine and dry with sunny spells. Maximum temperatures of 16 to 21C. Sunday 24/08/14 A front may bring outbreaks of rain to Northern Ireland and western parts of England, Wales and Scotland. Most central and eastern parts of England should remain dry. The rain tends to spread across most areas to the evening and night, although confidence is low. High temperatures of 16 to 22C. Monday 25/08/14 Deep low pressure maybe across the country. This could give much of United Kingdom a very wet and windy day with heavy outbreaks of rain possible. Highs of 15 to 18C.
