UKE EAST July 5, 2014 Uke East will take place on July 5 in partnership with the Cavendish Breach Music Festival. Artistic Director Jordan Cameron has put together an offering that will make the Festival interesting to a diverse group of musicians and music lovers. The one day festival will not only offer workshops tailored to beginner or designed to challenge the comfortable to the next level but the day will also present the Ukulele in its many different musical form. Jordan Cameron has been developing the concept of Uke East over the past two years since the release of his 2011 ukulele based album. With his ever growing collection of the songs performed on the unique instrument he has introduced a growing fan base to the “happiness” of the ukulele. The day will consist of: 1:00 Greeting and Welcome from festival founder Jordan Cameron 1:30 Beginners Workshop, 2pm (Igloo Experience Stage) 3:00 Virgin Uke performance with Jordan Cameron with guests, (Front Porch Stage) 4:00 Intermediate Workshop with Jake Shimabukuru, (Igloo Experience Stage) jakeshimabukuro/#/carousel-home 5:30 Jake Shimabukuru performance, (the Kitchen Stage) https://youtube/watch?v=puSkP3uym5k (Check out 2:50 minute mark) · Times are subject to change without notice As Uke East is a Festival within a Festival a single day admission for Saturday to the Cavendish Beach Music Festival is required. This day admission allows you to enjoy in all performances hrld on the Front Porch Stage, Kitchen Stage and Main Stage. To participate in the workshop there is an $25 for workshops, in addition to the single day admission for Saturday.
