UNBELIEVABLE: Rapist SET FREE police never indicated the minor’s ORGAN Saturday 3rd August 2013 - A man who raped a 14 year old in Kisumu had his freedom yesterday after the Court of Appeal overturned the ruling of the high court. Philip Oriendo had been sentenced to 20 years in jail for defiling the minor at their home only for the Court of Appeal to throw away the case because the police officers who investigated the case did not clearly mention the organ that was penetrated. Judges Sankale Ole Kantai, Onyango Otieno and Festus Azangala said that they came to the decision after they noted that the organ was not mentioned in the charge sheet. The trio argued that it was a very big error on the high court judges because they overlooked such an important detail. They expressed their concern and disappointment wondering how the magistrate failed to take note of the mistake when hearing of the case. With that loophole, they set the accused free because he had no charges to answer. So unbelievable!
