UNDER-QUALIFIED TEACHERS in NEPALESE IT COLLEGES: Extreme - TopicsExpress

UNDER-QUALIFIED TEACHERS in NEPALESE IT COLLEGES: Extreme commercialization of higher education in Nepal with almost zero monitoring from regulators from parent universities is very sad. Private colleges allow lecturers with bachelor level education teach bachelor level students. After bachelor degree, good ones either go for higher study or land a job in IT companies like Verisk/D2 and Deerwalk and bad ones end up being teachers. So, first they are academically under-qualified to become undergraduate level teachers and second they do that not by choice but by compulsion. STUDENTS in private colleges like Softwarica, Islington, British College and many of those types where head of college is a CEO or MD should enquire about the qualification of teachers and then should boycott classes if teachers do not have a master degree. This is total cheating on the part of these college owners who collect handsome fee from students and do not pay enough to attract academically qualified teachers. Students, please fight for your right when government does not do for you. Go to the office of the so called CEO and raise this voice. We can change this drama if work together and expose these so called education entrepreneurs. A person without a PhD degree should not even lead a college. Hope this helps. I expect many people to get offended by this note as this opens one more bitter truth that they have been hiding.
