UNEMPLOYMENT HAS CHANGED IN MICHIGAN. PLEASE READ AND SHARE Anyone on here in the state of Michigan that is out of work and can not get a real person from unemployment on the phone call your state rep. Peter Petallas office at 517-373-0833 and complain loudly. They will take your name, phone # and social# and someone from unemployment will call you back within 48 hours. Complain very loud. With the new changes to their system people have to wait weeks to get the money that is owed to them. If you are going to get hoilday pay in the week you are off it throws every thing off because you have to tell them if other people are gonna get it to, so they check everyone who work for the company to make sure they claim it too. I guess they dont pay you until they get everyones figured out or something. I certafied a week and a half ago and they told me I am gonna get a check they just do not know when.If you are not back to work or havent found a job yet, YOURE SCREWED. It could take weeks for them to send you a check in the mean time you could lose everything. If we dont all tell the state reps and govenor this is not acceptable it will not be changed. That is money you worked for and should be able to get it in a timely manner when you need it. Please share this it everyone you know in Michigan.
