UNEXPECTED BLESSING #860......... Living in a developing country with few pre-made things has made me learn that I have a talent for food. No kidding, I? Can cook. Well. REAL well. Better than I ever thought Id be able to. Ive been fortunate to know a few people who are absolutely fearless in a kitchen, and seeing their willingness to give pretty much anything a shot is what Im fairly sure made me realize that it is ok to experiment and learn and fail and do it all again. Dont get me wrong: #BobbyFlay doesnt need to be looking for a new job, Im not calling him out for a Throwdown or anything like that. But this girl has got some skills. Today? I found out that a vendor at the Sanyuanli market has ((drum roll)) .... US Turkeys!! Whole, breast, legs. Thanksgiving just got interesting. Ive started gathering ingredients for cornbread dressing (Because God loves Southerners best), and Ill start working on my homemade poultry seasoning, too. Thanks, #FoodNetwork!!
