UNION GIVES KHAMA DEADLINE TO RESCIND MOITOI DECISION President Khama has until the end of business today to rescind his decision to re-deploy Cabinet Minister Pelonomi Venson Moitoi, or face a legal action from trade union, #BOFEPUSU. The union gave #government a 48-hour ultimatum on Friday afternoon, which expires later this afternoon. It says failure to withdraw the re-deployment, it will take the President to court over the matter. Venson #Moitoi was granted leave of absence from her ministerial duties last week, to take up a position within the Ministry of Education. But BOFEPUSU and opposition parties have condemned the move saying it is unconstitutional. The union’s secretary general Tobokani Rari says it is the union’s interest to protect the country’s democratic principles.
