UNIUYO Pre-degree 2013 : Cut-off Marks, Application Requirements University of Uyo (UNIUYO) Pre-degree application for 2013 has commenced. Uniuyo is therefore inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into a one-year Pre-Degree Programme in the underlisted Faculties in the University of Uyo for the 2013/2014 academic year. The available programmes are: A. Faculty of Agriculture (a) Animal Science (b) Crop Science (c) Fisheries and Aquaculture (d) Forestry and Wildlife (e) Human Ecology, Nutrition And Dietetics Education (f) Soil Science (g) Agricultural Economics & Extension (h) Food Science and Technology B. Faculty of Education (a) Biology Education (b) Chemistry Education (c) Physics Education (d) Mathematics Education (e) Integrated Science Education (f) Technical Education (Automobile/Metal Education, Electrical/Electronic Education, Wood/Building Education, and Computer Education) (g) Human Ecology, Nutrition and Dietetics Education (h) Agricultural Education (i) Health Education (j) Library Science. C. Faculty of Science (a) Botany and Ecology Studies (b) Chemistry (c) Mathematics (d) Physics (e) Statistics (f) Zoology Uniuyo Pre Degree Form 2013: How To Apply, Requirements and Cut off Mark 1. QUALIFICATIONS UNIUYO PRE-DEGREE 2013 (a) Candidates must possess credit in at least five (5) subject including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Agricultural Science is accepted in place of Biology for Agricultural Education and Agriculture candidates only), at not more than two sittings in the SSCE (WAEC/NECO or GCE) or equivalent qualification. (b) Candidates must have taken the 2013 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and must have had a total score, not less than 180 in the relevant UTME subject combination. (c) Candidates seeking admission into Programmes in the Faculty of Agriculture should possess at least five (5) “0” Level Credit in NECO, WASC/GCE including Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, Mathematics, English Language and any one of Economics, Geography or Physics. Credit pass in Physics is compulsory for candidates seeking admission into Human Ecology, Nutrition and Dietetics or Fisheries and Aquaculture. For other programmes, at least a Pass in Physics is acceptable. (d) Candidates for admission into Agricultural Education must posses five (5) “0” Level Credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Biology (or Agricultural Science), Mathematics and any other subject. (e) Candidates for admission into Human Ecology, Nutrition and Dietetics Education should possess five “0” Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Human Ecology, Nutrition and Dietetics Education and Biology Education. 2. METHOD OF APPLICATION Interested candidates who want to apply for the University of Uyo Pre degree programme will be required to pay the sum of ₦500.00 (five hundred naira) for Pin Code and ₦15,000.00 (fifteen thousand naira) only as administrative charge, and obtain a computer-based Transaction Receipt and Pin Code in any branch of the following banks nationwide: FBN, Wema, Skye, UNIUYO MFB. With the Pin Code, candidates should access and complete the University of Uyo, 2013/2014 Pre-Degree Screening Test Form online at uniuyo.edu.ng. From the students E-portals Solution Menu applying the following steps: 1. Click on Pre-Degree Portal Link. 2. Log in UTME registration Number and Pin Code. 3. Fill the Pre-Degree form and upload a recent passport size photograph (Scanned) with red background Note The same passport used for the online registration will be used during the Screening Test and for registration after offer of admission. No complaint of wrong Bio-data or blank picture will be entertained after submission. Candidates who upload wrong Bio-Data will be automatically disqualified.
