UNIVERSITY OF DAYTON: The Marian Library at UD is holding a retrospective of the artwork of the late Deacon Ned Ostendorf, “Where Art Meets Religion,” through Sep 10th. Deacon Ostendorf, a 1957 graduate of UD, was an artist for religious and educational publications for 55 years before his death in 2009. His widow, Kay, and their family have donated some of his work to UD. For more information, go to themarypage.org. 2) Paintings, Roesch Library Gallery, through Aug 9th, 1st Floor of Roesch Library, open during normal library hours. 3) “Our Faith and Mary” - a symposium to celebrate the Year of Faith, Jul 30th-Aug 1st, Kennedy Union Ballroom (2nd Floor Kennedy Union). Fees - $30.00/day, Full Symposium -$90.00, Evening Events - FREE. Purpose is to foster a deeper understanding of our faith by contemplating Mary‟s faith. Mary‟s faith is the faith of the Church and the faith of many of the Church‟s representatives through the centuries. A principal objective is to bring together theology and spirituality, meaning the study and the celebration of our faith.
