UNZA Students Mob Hichilema. United Party for National Development, UPND, president Hakainde Hichilema last night received a rousing welcome at the University of Zambia when visiting the campus to feature in a town hall like live radio programme. The Patriotic Front had mobilised its secretariat using director of communications Chanda Mfula to pay the students and stop them from attending the event to create an impression it was a flop. Even the students who had received money from the PF secretariat under Wynter Kabimba still made it to the packed Lecture Hall auditorium where Hichilema propounded the UPND vision of the country. Hichilema raised pertinent issues on how President Michael Sata had failed to run the affairs of the country the reason youths including those at the university should mobilise to kick the PF government out of office in 2016. The UNZA graduate discussed the state of the economy explaining why the country’s currency had continued to perform dismally becoming one of the poorest legal tender and its effects on inflation. Hichilema wondered how a government that was saving money from maize and fuel subsidies would create such an economic crisis. He explained that UPND would rescue Zambians from its current economic malaise because it comprised think-tanks.
