UPCAT applications due on June 27 UP Mindanaos University Registrar, Prof. Julius T. Quiz announces that the University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) is set on August 16-17, 2014 at the UP Mindanao campus in Mintal, Davao City and other Test Centers nationwide. The 5-hour exam covers areas in Language Proficiency, Reading Comprehension, Math, and Science. The morning session starts at 6:30 A.M. while the afternoon session starts at 12:30 P.M. Applicants must be in the Test Center at least an hour before the examination time. All interested prospective graduating high school students are advised to submit and accomplish the following requirements on or before June 27: (a) correctly and completely accomplished UPCAT Forms 1 and 2; (b) four pieces of 2 x 2 identical ID photographs taken within the last 6 months; (c) non-refundable application fee of P450.00; and (d) self-addressed stamped envelope. UPCAT applicants from families with an annual gross income of P100,000.00 or less, or who are among the top ten prospective graduates of public high schools as of the end of SY 2013-2014 are exempted from paying the application fee. UPCAT Form 1 and Form 2 may be downloaded from the U.P. Website: upcat.up.edu.ph/. UP Mindanao is one of the selected regional UPCAT application filing centers and is authorized to accept application forms on or before June 27, 2014.
