UPDATE 1:45PM HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE/MEDICINES: Michaels blood pressure has been creeping upward over the last two days. I was on hold for 25 mins with the nephrology department in an attempt to speak with the doctor about his blood pressure protocol. Currently he is on two doses daily of amlodipine and isradipine as needed. He always rides around the threshold of needed isradipine, and lately has needed it again. Hopefully I can get in touch with someone and help Michael keep a healthier BP. BLOOD/FERRITIN: - Also, I spoke with the hematologist today. Michaels anti-factorXA results (how thin his blood is) are great. - His CBC (Complete Blood Count, which shows red cells, white cells, and platelets) is normal. - However, the hematologist mentioned is FERRITIN today. Ferritin is related to iron but is also a player in HLH. Michaels is still in a stable range given his circumstances (700s), but is trending upward. Hmm... Im not sure what this means yet. We have an appointment with hematology on Tuesday. TENDONS: -Michael is walking all over the place! He has a physical therapy evaluation on January 22nd, but I dont anticipate him needed much therapy. The one hold up is the tendons on his right foot. They are tight and he walks on his tiptoes. Its been very handy in being able to relay honest information to the doctors and track who has given what medicines. (Thank God for Google Docs!) You will notice the DISCONTINUED boxes. I shouldve renamed those ANSWERED PRAYER. PRAY: -Lower Blood Pressure -No more increase in ferritin -Loosened tendons on right foot -Strength -Healthy Kidney function ***Now I know why God stresses the importance of persistence in prayer.
