UPDATE 11/13/13: The Recreation Trail, parks & open spaces along the river corridor have sustained a large amount of damage. Please DO NOT ENTER these areas! Due to the September 2013 flood, the City is asking all residents to PLEASE STAY OUT of the public areas including the Recreation Trail corridor from Wilson to Highway 287, Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park, Centennial Park, Rivers Edge Natural Area, Barnes Softball Complex at Fairgrounds Park (fields 1, & 7-10) and ALL of Fairgrounds Park until further notice! City Staff must now complete cleanups and reconstruction of the flooded areas. In the meantime please DO NOT cross barricades, cones or walk into the river corridor unless you have authorization from the City of Loveland. Signs are posted, and violators will be ticketed/prosecuted. This is for your own safety! More flood info is online: cityofloveland.org/index.aspx?page=2081
