UPDATE: A spokesperson with NIPSCO says the City of Mishawaka was working to repair a water line earlier today when crews struck a gas line. NIPSCO crews were unable to begin repairing the gas line until the water line was fixed. Crews are now repairing that line. About 52 customers were affected, and NIPSCO says they called customers to notify them of the issues. A warming shelter has been set up at Battell Community Center at 904 N. Main Street for anyone needing shelter. Crews expect to have the line repaired by 9 p.m. GAS LEAK: Mishawaka dispatch says there is a gas leak in the area of Vistula and Lincolnway. NIPSCO crews have been on scene since before 2 this afternoon, according to dispatch. No evacuations have been ordered at this time. We have a call in to NIPSCO and will update viewers when more information is released.
