UPDATE: ANCLOTE KEY PRESERVE MANAGEMENT PLAN SaveOurSandbar has been in constant negotiations with the Park Service the results of which are very positive. The Park Service has made the changes to the management plan that we requested in our public comment statement and in the public hearings. There will be NO CLOSURE of any of the islands. There is a lot of misinformation out there, including newspaper stories which are so over the top and so false that they border on libel. The only information that is factual is posted here or on the Park Services website. We strongly encourage you to read the management plan and all related information. You have until March 11, 2014 to submit public comments. We all have to live with this plan for the next 10 years, so act now.
