UPDATE!! Duke Ranger, Hit-by-car, adorable, very cute, but very neglected lhasa boy. Donations needed: https://petcaring/DukeRangerHBC Just a couple of weeks ago, we were alerted to a serious situation in Houston. A good samaritan had picked up a little dog that had been hit by a car and was pretty broken up. Of course, our volunteers quickly rallied to the aid of this boy. He was picked up within a couple of hours and driven straight to Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists for surgery. The x-ray showed a badly broken boy. And he was in a LOT of pain. The surgeons stabilized him and he underwent surgery to repair an SI luxation and had an FHO of the right leg to repair the badly shattered hip socket. Well, hes doing very well, already. Hes up walking on both back legs, although gingerly. His eyes are sparkling and he loves attention. He still has a way to go, but wow, again a great save. His skin is horrible - yes, he was neglected long before he was struck by a car. We went ahead with the surgery before the funds were raised because he was in pain.
