UPDATE FROM MOMA: Just had long talk with ECMO nurse. All that blood from Jae mouth and nose is from her stomach. Theyre really concerned that her stomach is hurting a lot now. Theyre going to start a GI drip to see if it will help the stomach bleeding. It has been a lot of bleeding over the last couple weeks. They dont know how long it takes to see if the GI drip is going to work. Her kidneys arent working at all hardly but theyre not real worried about that because they said her numbers for that are still ok. Theyre calling it short term renal (kidney) failure. Shes not a candidate for a lung transplant now because her heart is involved too. Theyre having so much trouble trying to keep her bp up and all that shes not a candidate for transplant now. They said she has necrotizing pneumonia which means the tissue in her lungs is rotting away. The lungs still are all whited out. No improvement since we got here. The ENT / Pulmonologist are about to start doing what they did yesterday....trying to suction some junk from her lungs. She HAS to get some air in there for her lungs to stop necrotizing. Moma just signed the form for them to do the procedure. They havent started yet but I need yall to get everyone to pray for Jaelei. This is super serious. Moma is so stressed and worried. This child needs a miracle yall. Pray they can get into her lungs and get some of that mess out! All they got yesterday was dead tissue and they said that is NOT a good thing! Pray hard yall, she needs a miracle!
