UPDATE FROM VETO SESSION!! Because of all the phone calls, emails and office visits to Missouri state legislators from concerned citizens, the attempted override of Governor Nixons veto of Senate Bill 506 was defeated last night. This bill had language in it that would have further enshrined foreign ownership of Missouri farmland, instituted an unpopular and unnecessary beef check-off tax and had the very controversial scheme to move oversight of the captive deer population from the Dept. of Conservation to the Dept. of Agriculture. Thanks to everyone who stepped up and made their voices heard! We can win when we work together!
