UPDATE: I am back in the hospital for another extended stay. My pesky blood infection has damaged my aortic heart valve. I will require open heart surgery to replace my defective valve with a titanium mechanical valve. No surgery date yet, infectious disease has to clear me as healthy and stable first. It is now believed that I suffered a mini stroke this past Saturday when my mom had to take me to the ER.
