UPDATE I went to the Vet last night with Casper and received the best news! He was going in for his 2 week check up, to make sure that the infection cleared up before he could be admitted in for his enucleation. Well it cleared up, but not only did the infection clear, but his ruptured eye is almost completely healed! He will still be blind in that eye but it will not need to be removed now! At his age this is fantastic!! Casper is ready for his forever home now!!!!!! This sweet old Shih Tzu is Casper. Poor Casper has not had a good few years, as he was terrible neglected by the family that adopted him a few years back from ACC then dumped him in the street and moved away without looking back! How anyone can do this to an innocent sweet animal still amazes me. Casper will never have to worry about that again! At 9-10 years old and 18 lbs, Casper is nothing but pure mellowness and love. His favorite two pastimes are eating and sleeping! He is wonderful with the other pups in the house and could care less about the cats. Caspers former owners severely neglected his eyes, and they were so terribly infected that one ruptured and will be removed. The other is damaged but viable and still visual. He has no problem getting around.
