UPDATE: Numerous police officers and Tumon store employees testified during Chad DeSotos trial today. DeSoto is accused of killing three tourists and injuring close to a dozen more on Feb. 12, 2013 in Tumon when, prosecutors say, he drove his car into a crowd of pedestrians before later crashing the vehicle into an ABC Store near the Outrigger Guam Resort. Gedi Rivera, an ABC Store employee, remembers hearing a loud noise when the vehicle crashed. Kazumi Sala, an employee of the nearby Gucci store, said she was fixing the stores display when the incident happened. She identified DeSoto in the court room as the man she saw got out of the vehicle. The trial ended with a testimony from Guam Police Department Officer Gilbert Mondia, who supervised the investigation of the scene.
