UPDATE ON CRISTIAN AT THE JUNIOR OLYMPICS IN IOWA: after a long ride and a full day of wrestling yesterday the competition increased today! he will wrestle 4 matches a day. in his first match this morning he wrestled a fellow team ohio member who defeated him in may by tech fall in deleware and cristian beat him 9-1. in his second match he wrestled an opponent from south dakota and cristain won by tech fall! after his 3rd match and third straight victory over a wrestler from michigan he texted his mom telling her his last match was against a member of team iowa (the best team in the competition) . he asked her to pray for him, he was a bit nervous and wanted to do his best. he capped today off by pinning the opponent from iowa to go 4-0 for the day! he has done everything he needed to do to position himself to do well. he had a good skill set and quickness but needed to increase his upper body strength and his cardio endurance. he has worked extremely hard in both of those areas and it is paying off!
