UPDATE ON MY ETSY DEBACLE. First things first. Paypal is taking my side on the situation. I return the product, I get refunded. (She shipped it 3 days AFTER I opened the Paypal dispute which was made a month after purchase and in which I stated I didnt want the product anymore and just wanted the refund.) I had tried contacting her directly through Etsy before all this to no successful conclusion. Second...I left her a review on Etsy stating the situation. THIS is her response. I do not work during the Holidays and weekends . I have responded to you several times under the invoice. I have informed everyone during Christmas and New Years Eve the costumes will be delayed during the Holidays and advised folks to wait to purchase in January instead. I would like to have at least one month a year to myself and dedicate my time to my family. All this has been discussed prior to purchases made in December. Uh......Yeah TOTAL lie. She only responded to me twice over the 2 months. She NEVER send a message saying the piece would be delayed during the holidays or advised me to wait until January. Quite the contrary! She TOLD me, nay PROMISED me Id have it by Christmas. (I have it in writing. Just saying.) Also, you dont want to work during Christmas? SHUT DOWN YOUR ETSY SHOP UNTIL THE NEW YEAR!!! Or at the very least mention it on your Etsy store. Also another person had a problem with an order around the same time. Instead of apologizing over the mishap, she accused them of lying too. Needless to say, Costuming peeps, do NOT order anything from Eva Vanecek. She outright lied to me, to Paypal and Etsy, and just generally kind of sucks. I have great tolerance and I understand time restraints, but dont dare accuse me of lying about the purchase and definitely dont make stuff up to make you look better. I felt bad enough making this big a deal of it in the first place and then not giving any apology or Im sorry or trying to make it better? Not cool man.
