***UPDATE ON STOLEN COSTUME*** FIrst of all I wanted to say to everyone that has been following this and helping to get the word out and track the costume down that I TRULY appreciate all you have done! I never expected anything like the response I received and it has truly shown me that I have some great friends out there! Again, thank you all from the bottom of my heart. A very special thanks goes to Scott Coellner for making it possible to get on the news regarding the theft and to Monica Conner for keeping me sane when I wanted to completely flip out. And a special thank you goes out the the good people of the WHO-TV 13, Metro Waste Authority and The Des Moines Police Department for their help in all this. Now for the the bad news. I retrieved the costume, or I should say, what was left of the costume from the Des Moines Police today. Its been destroyed. The boots, gloves, and soft parts seem to be okay from a quick glance but I will need to do a thorough inspection for rips and tears and stains. The Helmet, Lightsaber, Vortex Two voicechanger and speakers are all missing. The Hard Parts (Armor, Chestbox, Shin Armor, Belt with Boxes) are literally in pieces and smashed beyond all repair as is the professional Transport Case they were in. Needless to say I am heartbroken, not so much because of the loss of the costume but for the fact that Vader wont be able to be at events like Night Eyes or Fundraisers for quite some time while I rebuild and I hate letting the kids down. But mark my words! Vader may be down but he is far from out! The Dark Side is strong with him and there will only be one thing to say... Lord Vader...RISE!
